From Buckley House your pet can be referred externally by one of our vets for particular treatment by a specialist, including same day MRI and CT diagnostic imaging. There are many referral centres across the country and our vets can tailor centres based around you and your pet's individual needs.
Orthopaedics Orthopaedics is a branch of veterinary medicine involving trauma and conditions to the musculoskeletal system. At Buckley House we are fortunate to have East Midlands Referrals (EMR) as our sister practice. Graham Oliver, Principle Vet, uses pioneering treatment to perform many orthopaedic procedures ranging from cruciate repairs, menisectomies, arthroscopies and total hip replacements. EMR is the only practice within the Nottinghamshire area to house state of the art CT and MRI machines creating a broad neurological work load.
Hydro and Physiotherapy Hydrotherapy is the use of water in the treatment of different conditions including; arthritis, spinal disease and orthopaedic complaints. Hydrotherapy differs from swimming as it involves special exercises conducted by our hydro-therapists and physiotherapists within the pool environment to help maximise your pets recovery and treatment protocol. Cardiology Cardiology is a branch of medicine which encompasses the diagnosis, assessment and management of patients with cardiovascular disease. Here at Buckley House we have an in-house ultrasound machine to assess the heart, its chambers and internal valves. ECG leads are readily available to assess the hearts electrical conduction and used throughout surgery. External referrals can also be arranged for more challenging and exciting cases.
Opthalmology Ophthalmology is a branch of medicine relating to the eye. Basic surgical procedures can be performed in house but specialism’s such as cataract surgery and genetic testing is conducted in Derby, our nearest ophthalmology specialists.
